Happy Birthday David,
Not knowing anything of the Sikh religion I looked for information. I learned from
the Sikh Missionary Society of of UK that Sikhism is a religion begun about 1500. They are opposed to Assisted Suicide, and Euthanasia. They believe in One Creator who alone can decide when a person is born or when a person dies. They believe in service and compassion to their fellow men. I remember when then Prime Minister Paul Martin visited India he was confronted with a Sikh who was very opposed to the PM’s promotion of Same Sex
“ marriage”.
I do know that the leader of the NDP , Singh is a Sikh and that is why he wears a turban. Why he wears a colourful, larger than usual turban, we assume, is for the cameras.
So why did Singh and all his political caucus, the NDP vote for euthanasia and assisted suicide after a few hours of debate?
Elisabeth May is seen in MACLEAN’S magazine wearing a Celtic Cross. With a bit of research I learned that she is an Anglican. Now ,that’s easy . My great Uncle was the Primate of the Church of England in Canada. He was a missionary in the Peace River area , his mother tongue was Cree and he learned Beaver (Dené). We work closely with the Anglicans of Stanley Mission and La Ronge. Recently the Canadian Anglicans flatly refused adopting Same Sex “ Marriage” for which we are very proud and thankful. Apparently it was the work of the Anglican lay people particularly the Indians and Eskimoes ( Inuits).
And May ? She is a strong advocate of killing unborn babies here and abroad. She voted for Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide. Her major religious plank is the belief in the fairy tale of Global Warming. Where is the religion of the cross around her neck? Absolutely no where.
Trudeau? Like his father he is a Catholic who opposes every major tenant of the Catholic Faith especially that human life is sacred from conception to a natural death. He pushed ( literally pushed ) euthanasia and assisted suicide through Parliament by invoking closure in a few hours. So what is going on here? Do these people have a Calling from some Guru with lots of money who is really running the show of three parties who wants the demise of Nationhood, Ethics, personal convictions and God? Shouldn’t we find out before our country and our life is snuffed out ?
And Andrew Scheer.? Oh, he is a Catholic that believes in the major tenants of Catholicism especially and including that life is sacred from conception to a natural death. Apparently he is not run by this Death loving Moneyed Guru. Apparently the others are. Gay
