    We knew Darlene Clarke as a young camper who came with her sister April.  The priest realised that she had not been baptised when she lined up for confession. He did not want to baptise her without her mother’s permission. Darlene often was frightened probably with good reason. Yet when she had an unattended infected foot she submitted with courage as I cleaned out the pus and bandaged it. She said to one of the senior campers. “ I only cried when Mrs. Caswell squeezed the pus from my foot.”

    Miss Bella Clarke , her mother was involved in a terrible vehicle accident at the corner of Deschambeault Lake , Sask.. Bella was badly burned particularly on her face. She did survive for a few weeks.  Her grandfather Thomas had passed away.  Sometime later her grandmother Annie had died . Both are buried in the La Ronge Cemetery  Darlene didn’t quite have a permanent home. She became pregnant. That baby in her womb was the only family she had. She desperately wanted that baby.

Darlene was yanked and shoved into a medical taxi ,  a taxi that takes people where it is ordered to go. There is no expertise or therapy involved. The taxi was ordered to
go to deliver Darlene to Vic Hospital for an abortion. She cried all the way. On going home after the abortion she cried all the way. Soon she killed herself.

    Nobody bothered to intervene, to tell the driver to stop and let her go to a safe place. Perhaps the other passengers have been told that you can’t interject. You can’t protest or perhaps you will be denied medical care and medical taxis. I do not know what was said or not said. I do know that northerners are taught to submit or you will be punished one way or another.

    While travelling in the Prince Albert, La Ronge area I encountered several occasions when elders would come up to us and say “ Darlene was my grandaughter. Now we all know that natives have only four grandparents like everybody , not fifteen but people months later wanted to tell us” We took this personally, this hurt and is still hurting . We don’t want it to happen again.
    I was telling this to a couple home in Prince Albert, a Catholic home. The woman, a long time nurse said “ That is exactly the opposite of what we are told. We are told that abortion doesn’t bother natives. It is only pro- lifers who interfere and bother them. These two did not believe this but nobody in a lifetime career of nursing bothered to explain that natives hurt and hurt intensely. The more they hurt the more silent they are until it is safe to speak. 

    We are honoured to have a reputation of knowing that natives see us as people who see them with feelings and moral convictions.  Of course their priests and nuns who cared and taught them knew they were people with hearts, loyalties and deep hurts but now that crowd is tripping all over themselves apologising for the Gospel.

    If we had known of the situation we would have done what was necessary to find Darlene and take her home so she and the baby could be safe as long as they needed us. But there is no network to help and rescue these girls. Once Darlene and baby were safe there would be lots of relatives and friends of the family who would want to get involved...maybe more than we would prefer but that is a happy problem.

Victoria Hospital may be dangerous to your health!

    My first encounter with “Vic “Hospital was in the labour room when a seventeen year student was having a baby. The nurse kept saying “ Just think you’re having a really big” p–p. She repeated that over and over again. I had seven children, five at St. Paul’s Hospital and I don’t recall any one using such language, yet we manage to follow instructions. When the baby was born I slipped out to the washroom. In that time the doctor gave this student depo provera: a dangerous drug that was not approved by Canada Health until 15 years later yet had been used on native women for at least forty years .

    I wrote to the then Minister of Health objecting to giving a minor such a drug without permission  from her, or  myself who was acting on behalf of her absentee parent. I do not recall any reply. However I later learned that doctor had received an award for her health care of natives. 

    I had a flare up of an infected foot. The La Ronge doctor consciously sent me to a specialist to Vic.  The doctor , acted very concerned , made sure I heard all his PR phone calls, yet refused to give me a prescription for  anti-biotics even though there was a distinct red line coming from the toe up to my ankle. Thirty days later by the time I finally got a prescription filled against the specific instructions of this “ diabetic specialist’‘ I lost half a toe. Somehow we suspected that this doctor got even over that letter to the  Minister to the Health. He definitely looked like he could be related to the Deprovera pusher.  Perhaps name tags on the doctor would help us identify who is doing or did what.

    From a relative of Mrs. Pat Dorosh we learned of her fight to stop the stream of native girls having abortions without any parental consent. Pat , a scrub nurse on operations insisted that they should be shown ultra sounds and other information so they could have some choice. Pat passed away a few years ago . We have no information as to anyone carrying on the fight to stop these victims herded into abortion without parental knowledge or consent.

    Vic Hospital is a dangerous place . It is named after Queen Victoria who had ten children and her reigned was marked by a long lasting concern for the native people in the British Empire including the natives of the Dominion of Canada.

    Queen Victoria Hospital has been expanded since the NDP tore down Holy Family Hospital because they wouldn’t do abortions. Holy Family was always the preferred hospital in Prince Albert unless one went to St. Paul’s in Saskatoon. St.Paul’s delivered two- thirds of  the babies in Saskatchewan.  Their  maternity ward was closed by the NDP due to their refusal to kill babies. There is no alternative to Vic Hospital whose horror stories of lack of medical ethics are not confined to the maternity wards.

   

Early Induction = Abortion =Murder

    Hitler transported Jews to their extermination in railroad cattle cars. Sask. Medic Care and Indian Affairs ( Ottawa) transport native women by ambulance to the extermination of their babies. Ambulances have at least two trained professionals,, high tech equipment, amd are built for speed, endurance and stability. They are the most expensive mode of transportation on the road.  That is perfectly logical because they are a first response to a life threatening situation. Saskatchewan hospitals are hundreds of miles away from many communities. It is not uncommon for death to occur simply because the ambulance couldn’t make a destination on time. So why are ambulances used to transport native women to abortions?
    A murse at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert told me that as soon as a native woman is scheduled for abortion it is treated as a top priority and as an emergency complete with: ambulance, immdiate surgery et c. Why? Usually the woman is coerced into abortion. She is given no choice. If she is transported by medical taxi she might slip out at a coffee stop. More than one baby has been saved by family members intercepting a taxi from the North in La Ronge. Almost no treaty person uses his or her own vehicle for a medical issue. The expense is covered so people do not want to use their own gas and truck assuming they have one. Since medicare pays for the ambulance a native woman, threatened by the fear of appearing non- cooperation gets in, the doors are locked and the path to murder of her child is usually swift and certain.
    Why are killing little Indians such a top priority? From a utilitarian view Saskatchewan, especxially in the North is greatly underpopulated. Some Northern communities are vacated, leaving behind good houses, school, church and infrastructure.
The argument is made well thic child will just grow up to be abused, a drunk and a welfare recipient. The argumeGnt that one needs to suck or chop a baby into pieces just in case he might get smacked, spanked or miss a few vegetables in his life is too absurd for a response. There are solutions to the welfare cycle: proper education with high standards of behaviour and academics.Christian leanders and teachers willing to preach the necessity of work and supporting one’s family, tighter regulations to obtaining welfare. What problem, alcoholism, drugs, welfare roles can possibly justify a murder solution ? This is racism in the extreme.
    People are accused of being racist if they criticise corruption and waste, if they don’t use the latest trendy politically correct language, if they don’t tolerate shoddy work and behaviour. Meanwhile the true racism of “genetic cleansing” and eugenics is ignored, not mentioned or discussed and never publicly condemned . It is practised by our “finest” medical professionals in our “best” hospitals.  No Indian leader with a six digit income and expense account has ever condemned this genocide or even admited it existence.
    The code word for abortion is EARLY INDUCTION. The cattle car is an expensive, scarce, medical ambulance. Gay
